Unsure about the seat height?
There are two types of bar stools: those designed for kitchen islands and those suited to bar tables, which are generally taller.
To make the right choice, start by measuring the height of your table:
- If your island is between 87 and 100 cm high, choose a seat height between 62 and 70 cm.
- If your high table or bar is between 96 and 110 cm high, opt for a seat height between 71 and 80 cm.
For optimal comfort, allow approximately 25 to 30 cm between the seat and the underside of the tabletop.

Pieds effilés et inclinés, dossier tulip courbé, hévéa massif foncé. La Josette porte la grâce du design danois des années 50.
Son assise large de 46,5 cm accueille sans contrainte toutes les silhouettes : la mousse fine et ferme maintient la position sans jamais s'affaisser. Pour une personne d'1m70, le dossier tulip remonte jusqu'au milieu du dos. Comptez 25 à 30 cm entre l'assise et le dessous de votre plan de travail, soit un îlot idéalement entre 88 et 93 cm.
Le cuir synthétique noir oublie les taches : un coup de microfibre suffit. Îlot en chêne brossé, suspensions laiton patiné, carreaux de ciment crème au mur : la Josette signe un intérieur mid-century soigné.

For nitrocellulose-varnished rubberwood, regularly dust with a dry microfiber cloth and clean marks with a barely damp cloth and mild soap, drying immediately to prevent water marks; avoid solvents, alcohol, abrasives, wax, and prolonged exposure to sunlight or proximity to a heat source. For the synthetic leather seat, remove stains promptly with a damp sponge and a little mild soap, rinse with a clean, slightly damp cloth, then dry without rubbing, and never use leather milk, harsh stain removers, or greasy products, which could cause the surface to crack or become shiny.
