Unsure about the seat height?
There are two types of bar stools: those designed for kitchen islands and those suited to bar tables, which are generally taller.
To make the right choice, start by measuring the height of your table:
- If your island is between 87 and 100 cm high, choose a seat height between 62 and 70 cm.
- If your high table or bar is between 96 and 110 cm high, opt for a seat height between 71 and 80 cm.
For optimal comfort, allow approximately 25 to 30 cm between the seat and the underside of the tabletop.

Description
The set of 2 Tabata kitchen island chairs features a seat and backrest in light ash veneer, mounted on a solid rubberwood frame. Planted in Malaysia for its latex since the late 19th century, rubberwood yields a light wood with a straight grain once its thirty years of tapping are over.
At 65 cm from the floor, the seat fits in front of a kitchen island or worktop measuring 90 to 95 cm high. Measuring 45 cm wide and 38 cm deep, it is extended by a low, curved backrest that supports the small of the back. The lower crossbars serve as footrests, and the frame can support up to 120 kg.
Our interior designer’s inspiration: light ash and an oak worktop share the same blond hue and pronounced grain, making them look like part of one wood family. Beige travertine brings the same warm tones, with a smooth, matte surface that highlights the ash grain. Above the island, the Anya pendant light in natural bamboo completes this palette of light-coloured fibres. Care instructions
Dust the wood with a dry microfiber cloth, following the grain. Clean marks with a barely damp cloth and mild soap, then dry immediately to prevent water rings. Avoid solvents, alcohol, abrasive products and wax. Keep the chair away from prolonged humidity, direct sunlight and heat sources, which can cause the veneer to warp.
