Mango wood bedside table with walnut finish

The Aldo bedside table is a small storage unit made of solid mango wood, stained a deep walnut colour, with two drawers. Mango is a hard, dense wood that resists everyday knocks, with a unique grain from one piece to the next; it is also a responsible wood, harvested from fruit trees grown for cultivation without deforestation. Its warm, satin-finish walnut tone allows the wood grain to show through the surface.

Its two drawers keep glasses, a charger and your current book close at hand, while the top provides space for an evening lamp. Compact (50 x 40 cm) and 50.5 cm high, it sits level with the mattress. Adjustable feet beneath the unit ensure perfect stability, even on a slightly uneven floor.

Our interior design expert's inspiration: in a bedroom, such a deep walnut shade is best surrounded by light, soft materials. The Safia headboard in removable white fabric creates this contrast, while a brushed, matt finish, like that of the Livia lamp, lets the wood take centre stage on the tabletop.
