Dust your furniture with a dry cloth and avoid washing it with large amounts of water: solid wood and cane webbing both dislike prolonged exposure to moisture and harsh household products, which can dull the finish or loosen the fibres. If there is a mark, simply use a very slightly damp sponge on the affected area and dry immediately. You can apply a colourless wax or a lightly tinted dark wood wax once or twice a year to nourish the wood and revive its lustre.
